Finding himself inspired by one of the models on an album cover, he decided to hang the cover up instead of drawing on it. Using it as inspiration, he drew her as a subject over and over again, culminating in a collection these enchanting "ladies" that span from grounded to surreal.

Drawings on old record sleeves comprise Jon Sarkin’s most iconic body of work. Mixed-media pieces on the backs of vinyl album covers, up-cycled directly from the free shelf at the legendary Mystery Train Records.
